General conditions and basic information.

          Khun Mae Lan Noi Subdistrict Administrative Organization was established on August 11, 1999. Its office is located at 57 Khun Mae Lan Noi Village, Khun Mae Lan Noi Subdistrict, Mae Lan Noi District, Mae Hong Son Province, Postal Code 58120.

Located 72 kilometers from Mae Lan Noi District Office and 131 kilometers from Mae Hong Son Provincial Hall, the area covers approximately 74,778 rai (119.65 square kilometers). It borders the following sub-districts, districts, and provinces:                                                                                                                             

To the north, it borders Muang Pon Subdistrict, Khun Yuam District, Mae Hong Son Province.

To the south, it borders Mae Na Chang Subdistrict, Mae Lan Noi District, Mae Hong Son Province.

To the west, it borders Mae Tho Subdistrict, Mae Lan Noi District, Mae Hong Son Province.

To the east, it borders Pang Hin Fon Subdistrict, Mae Chaem District, Chiang Mai Province.

          The general topography of Khun Mae Lan Noi Subdistrict consists mostly of mountains and forests. Flat areas are scarce, primarily consisting of lowlands between valleys which the population uses for housing and farming. The majority of the area is within the national forest reserve. The climate of Khun Mae Lan Noi Subdistrict is a tropical rainforest climate (AW), which can be divided into three distinct seasons:

          Summer begins from the beginning of March to the end of April. During this period, the weather is influenced by the southeast monsoon, resulting in generally hot and humid conditions with hazy skies for most of the day. The hottest month is around April, with an average maximum temperature of 37 degrees Celsius.

          The rainy season starts from the end of April to the end of October, influenced by the southeasterly monsoon winds blowing across the seas and oceans. These winds bring high humidity, resulting in generally heavy rainfall.  direct web slots

          Winter, from early November to the end of February, is influenced by the northeast monsoon blowing from China, bringing cold air. The lowest temperatures occur between November and January, with an average minimum temperature of 9 degrees Celsius.

Transportation

It can be accessed via two main roads:

1. The Chiang Mai-Mae Hong Son road (Highway No. 108) and the branching road to Mae Tho – Khun Mae Lan Noi are the main roads connecting to the village.

2. The Mae Chaem – Khun Mae Lan Noi road refers to the route from Mae Chaem District, Chiang Mai Province, entering via Ban Thung Phra Phrom, Village No. 4, a hamlet of Ban Fak Thong. This is the usual route used by villagers to travel from the village to the district office; Motorcycles are the most popular mode of transport. For travel to the provincial hall, hired buses are the preferred mode of transport.

Electricity Authority

Khun Mae Lan Noi Subdistrict comprises 5 villages, all of which have electricity, except for one satellite village, Ban Thung Phra Phon.

According to data collected yesterday, March 30, 2013, out of 492 households in Khun Mae Lan Noi Subdistrict, 328 households have electricity, while 26 households do not.

Water supply systems and water sources for domestic and consumption purposes.

In Khun Mae Lan Noi Subdistrict, all villages benefit from the mountain water supply system and natural water sources. 100% of households have access to the mountain water supply system. Note: Some villages still require repairs and improvements.

In Khun Mae Lan Noi Subdistrict, the total area is 74,778 rai, of which 58,530 rai is national forest reserve, representing 62% of the total area. However, the forest condition is mostly low to moderate in abundance due to increasing population and consequently higher land demand. This has led to deforestation and a decline in forest area. Wildfires are also a major cause of forest loss, primarily caused by human activities such as foraging, shifting cultivation, logging, livestock farming, and others.

Water resources

Khun Mae Lan Noi Subdistrict has natural water sources, which can be categorized as follows: four rivers.

1. The Mae La River flows through one village, namely Ban Khun Mae La Noi.

2. The Som Poi River flows through one village, namely Ban Som Poi.

3. The Amlan River flows through one village, namely Ban Amlan.

4. The Mae La Luang River flows through one village, namely Ban Fak Thong.

Products promoted as part of the One Tambon One Product (OTOP) program include those from community economic development projects, such as weaving groups, basket weaving groups, and women's groups (processing agricultural products).

Ban Khun Mae Lan Noi consists of 5 main villages and 12 hamlets, namely:

Village No. 1, Ban Khun Mae Lan Noi, consists of two hamlets: Khun Mae Lan Noi and Khun Mae Lan Noi Tai.

Village No. 2, Ban Som Poi, consists of two hamlets: Som Poi and Amol Lan.

Village No. 3, Ban Mae La Pa Kae, consists of three hamlets: Pa Kae Nuea, Pa Kae Tai, and Pa Kae Klang.

Village No. 4, Ban Fak Thong, consists of two hamlets: Fak Thong and Thung Phra Phon.

Village No. 5, Ban Mae La Pha Wai, consists of three hamlets: Pha Wai Tai, Pha Wai Nuea, and Pha Wai Klang.
